Distress beacon for diving ENOS
Distress beacon ENOS, which divers are equipped with during the dive.
ENOS Beacon ETX-M.
The ENOS ETX dive distress beacon.
The ENOS beacon is extremely lightweight, weighing only 160 g!
Its case offers multiple options for attaching the beacon to dive equipment.
Its positive buoyancy has no impact on the diver. In case of mishandling, the beacon floats to the surface.
All antennas of the beacon are located inside the housing for maximum protection!
It is resistant up to 100 meters.
The activation switch of the ENOS beacon is very easy to handle, even in stressful situations and when wearing thick gloves: simply turn the switch 180° – and you’re done!
No confusion with buttons to press.
When the beacon is activated, its asymmetric position clearly indicates, ‘ON’.
This ensures correct activation even in difficult or stressful conditions.
Handling the ENOS ETX beacon
After activating the ENOS beacon, the LED above the housing blinks. By holding the beacon above the surface, GPS data is determined and transmitted to the ENOS receiver.
The ENOS beacon then relays a first alert directly to the ENOS receiver on board the boat. The crew is instantly informed of the diver’s distress situation on the surface.
If the diver’s position is visible, the rescue operation begins immediately!
If the diver’s position is not yet visible, the crew waits for the ENOS beacon to determine its GPS position, which is automatically and directly relayed to the ENOS receiver.
Now, the crew knows the exact position of the diver!
The ENOS beacon data is refreshed every 20 seconds to keep the crew informed of the diver’s current position and to update the distance and direction data. The GPS position and its graphical representation with the boat’s position appear on the onboard system screen.
